The operator went live in Illinois on March 13 through a partnership with Walker's Bluff Casino Resort, entering a market that generated over $13.5 billion in handle during 2024. The Illinois Gaming Control Board approved bet365's management service provider license in December 2024.
Tennessee represents bet365's latest market entry, following their license approval by the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council on February 11. Tennessee, unique for offering only online sports betting without retail locations, has processed nearly $1 billion in wagers during the first two months of 2025, generating $17.6 million in tax revenue.
The timing of these launches is strategic, coinciding with the NCAA March Madness tournament beginning March 18. This expansion aligns with bet365's growth strategy and meets the high demand for sports betting during one of the year's biggest sporting events.
Tennessee currently has 13 approved sports betting operators, while Illinois hosts nine active online sportsbooks. Both markets represent significant opportunities for bet365's continued US expansion.
